BIOGRAFIA
Nato a Vienna nel 1814, frequentò l’Accademia di Vienna. Si perfezionò a Roma, dove conobbe Maria Nicolajewna, Granduchessa di Russia, che lo fece convocare a San Pietroburgo, quale pittore di corte. Successivamente lavorò a Vienna per un’importante clientela aristocratica, dove morì nel 1881.
